Manifest vs GetWaitlist: a simple waitlist without the tiered subscription
GetWaitlist basically invented the viral "move up the list by referring friends" waitlist and still does it better than anyone. But as of June 2025 it dropped its free tier for new accounts entirely β you get a 7-day trial, then it's $15/mo minimum, $50/mo to remove their branding. Manifest is a plainer tool: a share link, an embeddable form, and a subscriber list you can export. No virality engine, no tiers β just $9/mo flat, bundled with six other tools. Here's the honest breakdown.
Manifest Β· shippies
$9/mo
Shippies Pro: unlimited waitlists β plus our analytics, testimonials, changelog, invoice, OG image, and popup tools in the same $9. Free tier: 1 waitlist forever. Cancel anytime.
GetWaitlist
$15β250/mo
No permanent free tier for accounts created after June 12, 2025 β only a 7-day trial of Basic ($15/mo after). Removing GetWaitlist's branding requires Advanced (~$50/mo); custom email sending and team seats require Pro (~$250/mo). Verified on getwaitlist.com/pricing, July 2026.
a year of GetWaitlist Basic β $180, Advanced β $600, Pro β $3,000 Β· a year of Shippies Pro = $108 β and that's 7 tools, not 1

Where GetWaitlist wins
Referral virality is the entire reason this category exists, and GetWaitlist does it properly at every paid tier β signup, referral link, leaderboard, position tracking, all built in. Layer on real API access, webhooks, Zapier, custom email sequences, UTM-level analytics, and team seats, and it's a genuinely mature product. If your launch strategy depends on "invite 3 friends to skip the line," Manifest can't do that today β GetWaitlist can, and does it well.
Where Manifest wins
If you just want a clean signup link and an embeddable form β no virality mechanics, no tiers to climb, no branding to buy your way out of β Manifest gives you that free for one waitlist, forever. And the same $9/mo that unlocks unlimited waitlists also unlocks six other tools, so you're not paying $50/mo just to remove someone else's logo from your own signup form.
Fair questions
Wait, doesn't GetWaitlist have a free plan?
It used to. As of June 12, 2025, new accounts no longer get a free tier β you get a 7-day trial of the Basic plan, then it's $15/mo. If you created your account before that date you may still be grandfathered onto the old free tier.
Why doesn't Manifest have referral / "move up the list" sharing?
We haven't built it yet, plainly. It's GetWaitlist's whole reason for existing and they do it well across every tier. If viral referral mechanics are central to your launch plan, use GetWaitlist β it's the right tool for that job.
What do I actually get for $9/mo?
Unlimited waitlists, plus Pulse (analytics), Kudos (testimonials), PopKit (popups), Inkvoice (invoices), Masthead (OG images), and Logbook (changelogs) β one subscription, seven tools.
Who should just use GetWaitlist instead?
Anyone who wants incentivized sharing baked in, needs API/webhook/Zapier integrations, or wants to send branded email sequences to their list. Manifest doesn't do any of that. GetWaitlist's Basic tier ($15/mo) is a fair price for a much deeper product if that's what you need.
Can I export my list if I switch tools later?
Yes β one-click CSV export is on the free tier, no upgrade required. Your subscriber emails are always yours.
